The second time we tried to use it a second time, and it stopped functioning. The clipper was not very quiet when cutting. The blade head cutters are too close together making it hard to cut the hair. I ended up buying #4, #5 and #7 blades to get the desired length. My recommendation is that you start with the #10 blade and combs then go from there to reach your desired length.
I started out very carefully with the included #10 blade and longest comb, then graduated to the shortest one, but that wasn’t short enough. Bought these to groom my Shihtzu at home because his groomer is closed during the Covid pandemic. He normally gets groomed every 5-6 weeks as I keep him in a “puppy cut”. I had no experience grooming, but have seen the groomer use clippers and I watched a few videos online. I guess I’m having a hard time finding clippers that you can use on the whole body that aren’t 100s of dollars.
